Melissa Clary – Owner, Tax Manager

Melissa has been self employed since 2005 and is the former owner of Kruger and Clary, CPAs. She decided to branch to form Key2 Accounting in 2013 so she could focus on helping businesses with their accounting, payroll and tax needs.

Melissa graduated from Colorado State University in 1996 with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and has been a CPA since 2000. She specializes in QuickBooks, Business Consulting, Accounting and Income Tax Preparation and Planning.

In 2009, Melissa was on the list of Women of Influence and Forty under 40, in the Northern Colorado Business Report. In 2011 she won firm of the year with the accountants group PASBA. The Fort Collins Chamber of Commerce awarded her young professional of the year in 2012.

Carol McElwain – Owner, Payroll Manager

Carol McElwain is Payroll Operations Manager with Payroll Vault, the sister company of Key2 Accounting. Carol joined the team in 2011 and became part-owner in 2015. She has over 30 years of varied business experience ranging from private business office support, to restaurant management, to owning a music therapy record label.

Carol attended Western Michigan University where she majored in commercial art. When Carol isn’t at the office she can be found working on her horse ranch and boarding facility near Eaton, CO where she lives with her family. She spends her free time painting.

Myriah Milton – Owner, Accounting Manager

Myriah joined the firm in 2012 as a staff accountant and became part-owner in 2015. Myriah became an enrolled agent in 2015.

Myriah focuses on sales tax, business accounting and income tax planning and preparation.

Myriah graduated from Colorado State University in 2005 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. Her previous experience includes completing audits of financial statements for privately held companies, not for profit entities, and employee benefit plans before joining the Key2 Accounting Fort Collins CPAs staff. Her interests include gardening, canning, knitting, and sewing.

Miranda Thompson – Payroll Specialist

Miranda joined the team of Fort Collins accountants at Payroll Vault in 2015 as a payroll specialist. She received her Associates in Accounting from Front Range Community College in 2014 and has several years of payroll and bookkeeping experience. When Miranda is not working with numbers she enjoys relaxing on long motorcycle trips or curled up with a book and her pets.

Ana Lawrence – Staff Accountant

Ana is a staff accountant, and has been part of our team since 2013. Ana is certified in QuickBooks online. She spends her time crunching numbers and solving puzzles from our business clients. She focuses on monthly accounting and sales tax preparation.

She received her Bachelors in Science with a concentration in Accounting from Regis College for Professional Studies in 2015. Ana spends her free time with her son and husband on a ranch that keeps them busy.

Nickole VanDeventer – Office Manager

Nickole joined Key2 Accounting and Payroll Vault in 2013. Nickole’s role has been officer manager/staff accountant. Nickole is in charge of client communication, filing tax returns and works on bookkeeping and sales tax. Nickole is certified in QuickBooks online. She is a graduate of Colorado State University and has enjoyed many years of working with the public as a sales consultant and in other administrative positions. When she is not working with her fellow Fort Collins accountants she enjoys spending time with her family, reading and traveling.

Tonia de Lima – Staff Accountant

Tonia joined Key2 Accounting team in 2016, and is working remotely from Hawaii. She is working as a Staff Accountant specializing in tax preparation and tax planning as well as providing QuickBooks and bookkeeping support as needed. She passed all four parts of the CPA exam in 2017, and will graduate from the University of Hawaii with her Master’s in Accounting in May 2017. In her spare time, Tonia enjoys spending time with her family, working out, traveling, and the beach.

Alex Corsi – Staff Accountant

Alex joined the Key2 Accounting team in 2016 as a staff accountant. He specializes in bookkeeping, sales tax, and QuickBooks software. He received a Bachelors in Accounting from Colorado State University in 2016. Alex currently spends most of his free time studying for the CPA exam. When Alex is not working, or studying he enjoys rafting, hiking and biking.
